Ballet Class Music is your source for the quality recordings of Michael Roberts. Michael's music is sought after by both student and professional dancers for their public performances and in-studio practice.

Biography Michael Roberts was born in Sussex, England. He began playing the piano at age four. From 1967 to 1975 Michael was production stage manager for Harold Prince in London's West End. In 1970 he became a dance accompanist for the Royal Ballet School. In 1975 he moved to Los Angeles where he has since worked as a dance accompanist and composer. Michael has appeared in numerous TV shows and the movie "Six Weeks" with Mary Tyler Moore. Michael has played for Juliet Prowse, who endorsed his original dance record albums. Michael's other compositions include three Music for Ballet Class CD's, one CD of Original Dance Compositions "Dancing Scores", One Classical/New Age CD "Farther than the Sun", Three Theater Musicals and numerous commissioned dance scores. Currently, Michael is hard at work as both a faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts and as Music Director for the Pasadena Dance Theatre. Michael is also a faculty member of the American Ballet Theater summer intensives.
